'NYHC Chronicles 1.5' gets world premiere in NYC ft. Q&A, Minor Threat tribute set, more

As a followup to 2017’s The New York Hardcore Chronicles film, Stone Films will release The New York Hardcore Chronicles 1.5. “This film details the New York Hardcore scene for what it was, what it is, and what it will forever be. One of the most vital and influential music scenes to ever exist, its impact is felt worldwide and its legacy continues on,” says the trailer, which features footage of interviews with NYHC vets, recent live footage, old photos of NYC punk venues, and more.

The film will make its world premiere on Sunday, December 9 at 1:30 PM at Brooklyn Bazaar. The film will screen downstairs followed by a Q&A moderated by director Drew Stone featuring Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, etc), Craig Setari (Sick Of It All, Youth Of Today, etc), Jay Peta (Mindforce), and Jeff Alteri (Enrage). There will also be a show upstairs after the screening with Enrage, Minor Threat tribute band Seeing Red (featuring current and former members of Sick Of It All, Antidote, Breakdown, and Murphy’s Law), Silence Equals Death, Enziguri, and Crippled Earn. Tickets are on sale now.
