Oh Sees began their three-night NYC run at Warsaw (pics)

John Dwyer’s Oh Sees are currently in NYC, tonight playing the last of three shows here as part of their current tour in support of the band’s 19th album, Orc — the first of those being Saturday night (9/9) at Warsaw in Brooklyn. The current two-drummer lineup of Oh Sees (they recently dropped the “Thee” from their name) are a well-oiled machine at this point and know how to deliver an amped up, sweat-inducing, crowd-pleasing show. Openers are this one were Georgia’s krautrock-inspired Oceans of the Moon. Pictures from the night are in this post.

Oh Sees hit Warsaw again on Sunday (9/10) with Chorizo — we’ll have pics up soon from that show too — and wrap up this NYC visit tonight (9/11) at Bowery Ballroom with long-running Providence, RI band Olneyville Sound System and tickets are still available.

The 20th Oh Sees album, a record under the name OCS where Dwyer collaborates with onetime bandmate Brigid Dawson, is out in November.
