The band, who play an array of instruments center around Casey Mecija’s tales of whimsy, include sister Jennifer on violin/organ, Heather Kirby on bass/banjo, Ryan Carley on piano/keyboard, James Bunton on drums/trumpet, Anissa Hart on cello and Andrew Kinoshita on mandolin/guitar, have shared the stage with such artists as Joanna Newsom, Bright Eyes, The Walkmen, Sarah Harmer, The Dears, amongst other. The Mecija sisters also appeared on Final Fantasy’s acclaimed lp, He Poos Clouds, providing backing vocals.
