Prolific Syrian singer Omar Souleyman will release new album To Syria, With Love, on June 2 via Mad Decent. It's his third full-length studio record, and is said to have more techno elements than his previous works while delivering a personal ode to his home country. Souleyman sings of his native region in northeastern Syria:

It’s been six years I’ve been away, and I’m tired of looking for home and asking about my loved ones. My soul is wounded and it’s like having dust in my eyes. We are in exile, and our nights are long. Our homeland is our only comfort. Life caused us so much pain—our wounds are too many and every wound calls out, ‘We miss Al-Jazira’

They haven't released any music off the LP but you can check out artwork and tracklist below.

While there was speculation that the Trump administration's travel ban might affect Souleyman's tour, everything is still on track including the NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on May 11, (tickets). All tour dates, including a Detroit show with The Black Lips and stop at FORM Arcosanti and Moogfest, are listed below.
