Omni prep 2nd LP, on tour now: Brooklyn tonight + dates w/ Franz Ferdinand

Atlanta’s Omni, who put out the excellent, underrated Deluxe last year, are putting the finishing touches on their second album for Trouble in Mind, which should be out in early fall. The band are currently touring to and from this weekend’s Waking Windows fest in Vermont, and stop in Brooklyn tonight (5/5) at Our Wicked Lady with Honduras and Patio. It’s currently listed as a rooftop show, but given the weather today…we’ll see. Tickets are on sale.

Omni (which features ex members of Deerhunter and Carnivores) have also been selected as openers for Franz Ferdinand‘s tour. Given that both groups are probably fans of Postcard Records (Orange Juice, Joseph K), this is a pretty perfect double bill. Stops include the sold-out Governors Ball After Dark show at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on June 5.
