One person hospitalized after shots fired at Lil Baby show in AL
One person was taken to an area hospital after being shot at Lil Baby's Birmingham, AL show on Saturday night (3/7), The Birmingham News reports. Birmingham police say they arrived at Bill Harris Arena, responding to a call for "all officer assistance," 10 PM, stopping the show and clearing the venue and surrounding area. Sgt. Rod Mauldin told The Birmingham News that the shooting victim, who was transported to UAB Hospital, has "life-threatening" injuries.
A video taken inside the venue that night shows a chaotic scene with an altercation appearing to take place on the side of the stage. Shots can be heard shortly after. Attendees told The Birmingham News that some people "screamed and dropped to the floor," while others "ran out of the building."
Police do not currently have a suspect in custody, but the investigation is ongoing.
