Operator Music Band (fka Operator) release "Bebop Radiohaus" video (watch), touring in June
Brooklyn’s motorik, analog-synth-loving combo Operator Music Band (who have officially added “Music Band” to their name to be less confusing to Dan Boeckner fans) have made a video for “Bebop Radiohaus” which is from their new Matérielmusik EP. Directed by the band’s guitarist/singer Dara Hirsch, it’s shot in a high rise using static shots and slow pans evoking a clinical vibe a la Kubrick or Matthew Barney’s Cremaster films, but then bursting into what is very clearly a music video. It’s all very well done and you can watch the video, which premieres here, below.
Operator Music Band, who played the BV-presented Klaus Johann Grobe show at Shea Stadium last week, will be heading out on a tour of the East Coast and Midwest in June. The tour wraps up at Brooklyn’s Silent Barn on 6/19 with Patio, Drama Section, and Nicholas Nicholas.
