Opeth announce tour with The Sword, new album 'Sorceress'

Opeth are gearing up for a big 2016. We already mentioned their October show at Radio City Music Hall, and now they’ve shared tour dates and new album details to go along with that single date. They’ll be joined for an extensive North American tour by Austin’s The Sword, starting in Pittsburgh and making their way out to Vancouver. Tickets for the whole tour (except for the dates that were already on sale, which of course include that Radio City show, which still has tickets available) are on artist presale now, and they go on sale to the general public Friday (6/24) at noon.

They’ve also announced their new album. It’s called Sorceress, and it will drop at some point in late 2016. They’ve also switched labels, moving from Roadrunner over to Nuclear Blast, and they’ve ended up with their own imprint as part of the deal, called Moderbolaget Records. Opeth also teased Sorceress with 20 seconds of music via their Facebook page. It features some pretty sweet keyboard playing.

All dates listed, along with that video teaser, below.
