Finnish psychedelic black metallers Oranssi Pazuzu recently released their great new album Mestarin kyns on Nuclear Blast, and they were going to perform the album in full at Roadburn 2020, but since that festival (like basically all concerts) was cancelled due to COVID-19, the band will instead play the full album in a livestream on Friday, May 15 at 3 PM ET on the band's YouTube page. It's free, but there will be an opportunity to leave a donation. The band writes:

We will be performing our new album "Mestarin kynsi" as a livestream concert on Friday, 15th of May.

The live stream will broadcast though the bands Youtube account. So please, do subscribe.

And here is the FB event page.

The album was originally meant to be performed in full at Roadburn Festival 2020, but due to Covid-19, the festival had to be rescheduled. It's because of these circumstances that we have decided to bring another live performance of the album to you in your homes.

The concert is free. However, if you wish to make a donation to help out the band and the crew, you are most welcome to do so. Link for that provided in the live stream.

We are working on the final streaming logistics and will have the livestream link for you soon. Keep an eye out here and the event page for more details, including information about a very special t-shirt design that will be available for this show!

The concert will be streamed from Rytmikorjaamo, Seinäjoki, Finland and is made possible by Rytmikorjaamo, AMS Oy Ltd & ISLE Art Industries.

Oranssi Pazuzu also recently released a live-in-studio session that you can watch here and see an excerpt of below.

Oranssi Pazuzu wasn't the only recently-announced metal livestream. Katatonia will do one Saturday (5/9) at 2 PM ET that they're filming at Studio Gröndahl and that past Katatonia producer David Castillo is mixing. You need tickets for this one but you can rewatch it as many times as you'd like.

And one more (for now): Insomnium will perform 2016's Winter’s Gate in full on Friday, May 29 at 1 PM ET. This is a ticketed one too.

UPDATE: Insomnium also play Century Media's livestream fest on May 14 with Voivod, Borknagar, Lucifer, and more.

Earlier this week, we rounded up some recent archived metal streams from Metallica, Barishi, Every Time I Die, Brutus, and more. And before that, we posted archived streams of Kvelertak, Enslaved, Baroness, Code Orange, Huntsmen, and more. Stay tuned for more.
