Pallbearer release 'Fear and Fury' EP with Type O Negative & Black Sabbath covers

The great doom band Pallbearer have surprise-dropped a new EP. It’s a 3-song outing called Fear and Fury, which features one original (the title track, which was released by Decibel Magazine last year) and two covers, with the band hitting “Over and Over” by Black Sabbath and “Love You to Death” by Type O Negative.

This isn’t the first time that Pallbearer have taken on Type O Negative, as last year they appeared as Type O Negative for a Halloween cover show in their hometown of Little Rock, and they’ve namechecked Type O Negative as a huge influence before. And of course every doom band is influenced by Black Sabbath, so these covers are both very fitting. It’s a fun listen that shows a slightly less serious side of this usually very serious band, and you can check that out below.

Pallbearer’s tour with Baroness kicks off on Friday (8/12) in DC after Pallbearer play a headlining show on Thursday (8/11) in Richmond (that’s one of a few of headlining dates for Pallbearer during that tour). Baroness and Pallbearer will stop in NYC at Webster Hall on August 14. Tickets for that show are still on sale.
