Paramore share "Caught In The Middle" video, hosting Nashville music/art festival

Paramore have shared their video for “Caught In The Middle,” the latest single from 2017’s great After Laughter. The track is probably the funkiest cut on the entire record, and its Computer Team-directed video is fittingly bright and colorful, with imagery reminiscent of many classic ’80s music videos, especially the sketchbook aesthetic of a-ha’s “Take on Me.” The video shows the band in many surreal, retro-tinged environments, and you can view that, along with the band’s other After Laughter-era videos, below.

Elsewhere, Paramore will be hosting a special hometown event in Nashville, titled “Art + Friends,” which takes place September 7 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The band announced the event on Instagram, which Hayley Williams said will “give everyone a chance to experience Nashville the way we do.” Here’s more from the announcement:

We (Paramore) are gonna play a big rock gig, along with some of our friends – it’s a solid lineup of all Nashville based artists. Plus, there will be tons of local art to see and experience, local independent business owners showing off their wares, and some local food & bevs. Take it from a group of kids who grew up right here in this city – the new Nashville is definitely alright with us.

Aside from a headlining performance from Paramore themselves, other artists on the bill include Bully, COIN, Canon Blue, Liza Anne, Nightingail, and others. Tickets go on sale Friday (6/29) at 10AM CT, with various presales beginning Wednesday (6/27) at 10AM CT.

Paramore’s tour hits Brooklyn’s Barclays Center TONIGHT (6/26) (tickets), and if you’re going, we recommend showing up early for openers Soccer Mommy.

Also on the bill is Foster the People, who play a much more intimate late show in Brooklyn tonight at Elsewhere Zone One with local indie bands The Britanys, Nervous Dater, and Honduras. It’s free but RSVP is closed.
