Parliament Medicaid Fraud Dogg

Parliament release first album in 38 years (stream it)

Earlier this year, funk legends Parliament released “I’m Gon Make U Sick O’Me” (ft. Scarface), their first new song in 38 years, and today they surprise-released a new album — their first since 1980’s Trombipulation — featuring that song and 22 others. It’s called Medicaid Fraud Dogg. Scarface is the only credited guest on the album, and earlier this year George Clinton revealed in a Reddit AMA that the album features original Parliament members Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Greg Thomas, and Benny Cowan. You can stream the whole thing below.

George Clinton recently revealed that he is retiring from touring in 2019, but he has tons of upcoming shows before then, including New York’s Mountain Jam.

In 2016, George Clinton signed to Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label as a solo artist and has apparently been working on an album for the label.
