PARTYNEXTDOOR arrested in New York for drug possession

Canadian R&B singer and producer PARTYNEXTDOOR (real name Jahron Brathwaite) was arrested by New York State Troppers in Niagara County for drug possession yesterday (10/5). Pitchfork points to a press release from the New York State Police that says he was found with Xanax and Oxycodone after a bus he was riding on was stopped for secondary inspection as it was entering the US. He’s been charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He has been issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Lewiston Court.

PND has been on tour with Halsey and Charli XCX, and is supposed to play the NYC-area on 10/13 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and 10/14 at Prudential Center in Newark. He released the Seven Days EP last week.
