Patrick Watson has shared details of his sixth album, Wave, which is out October 18. He says the title refers to that feeling of being knocked over by tragedies, having your life swept away, and learning how not drown, metaphorically, in the process. The first single is "Dream for Dreaming," which is fairly subtle song for an artist prone to sonic acrobatics. “When you come home and your house doesn’t look like the one you left and the strange feeling of being so far from what you had in mind that your skin doesn’t fit anymore,” is how he describes it. “You’re in the state of disbelief with a strange smile wondering what am I to do now.” The video, featuring a puppet version of Watson, is really sweet, and a little sad, and you can watch that below.

Right after Wave hits, Patrick will launch an ambitious world tour that will run through the first half of 2020. The NYC stop happens at Webster Hall on 4/15Tickets for that show are on various presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 6 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
