Paul McCartney working on new LP with Greg Kurstin; Ringo Starr touring
Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band have announced a 2017 fall tour. The tour begins with a residency in Vegas (two months after Ringo's son Zak Starkey does a Vegas residency with his band The Who), and it wraps up with a few NY/NJ shows.
Those NY/NJ shows happen on November 14 at Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, November 15 at Beacon Theater in NYC, and November 16 at NJPAC in Newark. Tickets go on sale Friday (3/31). All dates are listed below.
Since 2012, Ringo's All-Starr Band has included Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette. Rundgren is also doing a tour of his own and he has an upcoming LP which features Robyn, Nine Inch Nails, Darryl Hall, Bettye Lavette, and more.
Last month, Ringo and his former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney recorded something together, which will possibly appear on Ringo's next album. Paul McCartney also revealed last week in an interview with BBC 6 Music's Matt Everitt that he's working on a new album with producer Greg Kurstin of The Bird and the Bee (who just won a Grammy for his work with Adele).
