The legendary Paul Simon recently released his new album Stranger to Stranger, his best in a while, and last night he brought his tour homeward bound to Forest Hills Stadium, his first show at the venue since 1970. He played a few off that album, but also plenty of classics like "Mother and Child Reunion," "Duncan," "Still Crazy After All These Years," "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes," "You Can Call Me Al," and more. He also covered Elvis Presley's "That's All Right" and dedicated it to Elvis' recently-deceased manager Scotty Moore (video below). He threw in just a few Simon & Garfunkel songs too. Check out the full setlist and some Instagram pics/videos below.
Rhymin' Simon does it again tonight (7/1). Like last night, it's sold out. Tonight's the last night of his North American tour, and this may be it. In a recent NY Times interview, he hinted that he'll soon retire (which at least wouldn't happen until after his European fall tour). Will tonight be Paul's final US show?
UPDATE: Night 2 happened (and was very rainy). Review, setlist, pics and videos HERE.
