'Peaky Blinders' soundtrack announced (stream PJ Harvey's cover of Nick Cave's "Red Right Hand")

An official Peaky Blinders soundtrack is coming November 15 via Universal on streaming services, double CD, and triple vinyl. It includes the show’s theme, Nick Cave‘s 1994 classic “Red Right Hand,” as well as PJ Harvey‘s cover of that song, plus other PJ Harvey and Nick Cave songs, and songs by David Bowie, Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Joy Division, Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, Laura Marling, Savages, IDLES, and more. (It doesn’t, however, include Snoop Dogg’s new “Red Right Hand” cover for the show, or the previous seasons’ versions by Jarvis Cocker/Iggy Pop, Arctic Monkeys, Laura Marling, or FIDLAR.)

Along with the soundtrack’s announcement, the full version of the much-loved PJ Harvey cover has now hit streaming services for the first time. PJ is of course the perfect artist to cover a song like this, and her haunting rendition is great. Listen and check out the soundtrack’s full tracklist below.

In very related news, Nick Cave recently spoke about his relationship with PJ Harvey in the ’90s. When PJ broke up with him, Nick says he “was so surprised I almost dropped my syringe.”

Nick Cave also recently announced a Europe/UK tour supporting his great new album Ghosteen.
