There's a new Pere Ubu box set out today via Fire Records titled Architecture Of Language 1979-1982 which features vinyl remasters of the seminal albums ‘New Picnic Time’ (1979), The Art Of Walking (1980) and Song Of The Bailing Man (1982) plus a platter of extras, Architectural Salvage. A series of new videos called 'Fire Tapes,' frontman David Thomas talks about the band's history and what they were trying to achieve back in the mid-'70s. The latest, titled "Datapanik In The Year 2016," that shows some of the band's concepts were highly prescient. Check it out and the other 'Fire Tapes' below.

Pere Ubu are going on the ‘Coed Jail!’ tour across the UK and Europe this spring where they'll play setlists drawn exclusively from the recordings of 1975-1982. Tom Herman, guitarist from 1975 to 1979 and from 1997 to 2002, rejoins the band for the tour. While no plans have been made to do this in North America, we can hope. All tour dates are listed, below.
