Perfect Pussy, who we also caught a day earlier at the Pitchfork day party, played a last-minute late-night show on the South Lamar Pedestrian Bridge in Austin last night (well technically at 2 AM this morning, 3/14). As SXSW bridge shows tend to, things got crazy. Way more intense than the PP shows where they’re on a stage, the audience completely surrounded them, the guitar/bass players often barged their way into the crowd, and singer Meredith Graves was a force as always (decked out this time in a silver sequined floor-length skirt).

At the end of the set, guitarist Ray McAndrew slammed his guitar into the drums (didn’t break it), and bassist Greg Ambler threw his bass over the railing into the water. (Not the first Captured Tracks band to throw their bass into a river.)

Nothing and Ex-Cult played too. Stay tuned for pics and more on them. Meanwhile you can check out pictures of Perfect Pussy in this post, which continue below…
