Pete Rock Smoke DZA Don't Smoke Rock

Pete Rock & Smoke DZA releasing collab LP, playing Babygrande show with GZA

New York rap legend Pete Rock and comparative NY newcomer Smoke DZA are teaming for the collaborative album Don’t Smoke Rock, which is due out December 2 via Babygrande Records. So far they’ve shared “Limitless” ft. Dave East and “Milestone” ft. Jadakiss, Styles P and BJ The Chicago Kid. Listen to those below. The album also has guest spots from Cam’ron, Rick Ross, Royce da 5’9″, Big K.R.I.T., Dom Kennedy, theMIND, and more.

Pete and DZA will also team up for the Babygrande Records 15th anniversary show, which is headlined by another NY rap legend, GZA (who just wrapped up some Liquid Swords shows). The show is promising appearances from other members of the Babygrande family, such as GZA’s fellow Wu-Tang member U-God, plus Young Roddy, Trademark Da Skydiver, and more. Tickets are on sale now.

Speaking of cool collaborative albums on Babygrande, earlier this year the label released one from Mobb Depp’s Havoc and the great producer The Alchemist. Stream that in full below too.
