The ongoing saga of Peter Hook vs. his New Order bandmates seems sure to continue, as Hook has announced plans to release a new memoir (his third), this one focusing on his time with New Order. Perhaps this is a correction of the "disappointing" memoir by Bernard Sumner.

Substance: Inside New Order is out on October 6 via Simon and Schuster UK and promises to be "no-holds-barred" (we would expect nothing less at this point) and will clock in at over 760-pages. Given all the sniping between Hook and New Order over the last five years, there should be plenty of dirt in there. There will also be 'geek facts' of every piece of electronic equipment used to make their records (that part sounds cool). You can pre-order the book here.

"Substance" is also the name of Peter Hook and the Light's fall tour where they'll be playing the New Order and Joy Division compilations of that name in full, including two shows at NYC's Webster Hall on September 22 and 23. Tickets for those shows are still available.

New Order released Music Complete, their first since Hook left, last year.
