Phil Lesh playing 80th birthday shows at Capitol Theatre (update: postponed)

Not only is founding Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s 80th birthday being celebrated at Lockn’ 2020 in June, but Phil Lesh & Friends are playing a run of “Surprise 80th Birthday Party” shows at Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre on March 13, 14, and 15. (Phil’s actual birthday is March 15.) The Friends won’t be revealed until the band hits the stage (that’s the surprise part), and tickets from the postponed Phil-O-Ween run at the Cap will be honored. If you can’t make the new date, refunds will be available. Otherwise, tickets go on sale Friday (1/3) at noon.
