Blonde Redhead played a special show this week at Brooklyn’s beautiful Co-Cathedral of Saint Joseph, the same Prospect Heights venue Jóhann Jóhannsson is playing later this month. Like Jóhann will be, they were joined by the American Contemporary Music Orchestra (ACME) while they played their classic 2004 album Misery is a Butterfly. We’ve got pictures of the show, which Luke Temple opened, in the gallery above.

It was, by all accounts a beautiful, unique environment to catch this beautiful, unique album in a way that you probably haven’t heard it before. Eric Wareheim certainly seemed to enjoy himself:

Blonde Redhead and ACME have a few more tour dates together before ACME start touring with Johann. BR are also playing Big Ears and Day for Night.
