In town for tonight's big show at Terminal 5, Courtney Barnett had a showing of her photographs documenting her 2015 tour as well as the artwork from her new album, that happened Tuesday (7/21) at a Lower East Side gallery. The tour photos were of a theme -- hotel bathroom showerheads -- and the artwork, as you may have seen, is all drawings of chairs. You could buy prints of all of these -- the hanging prints all curiously bore the edition number (4/20) -- and proceeds went to benefit the Australian Marine Conservation Society. Like most gallery openings, there was free booze and they also had fortune cookies with Courtney Barnett lyrics in them. Torres and Sadie from Speedy Ortiz, who open tonight's sold-out T5 show, were the night's DJs. Fun time.
