Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys wrapped up the UK leg of his solo tour at London's gorgeous EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) on Wednesday. He's been on the road supporting his great new album, Pang!, which is a collaboration with South African electronic artist Muzi (who put a new electronic spin of Gruff's psych). As usual, Gruff brought along all manner of signs ("BREXIT IS A BAD SAX SOLO," "RESIST PHONY ENCORES") and gizmos (metronomes, record players), along with a few live musicians, too, like drummer and frequent sideman Kliph Scurlock. Guinean artist N’famady Kouyaté opened the show and also played during Gruff's set -- pictures from the whole night are in the gallery above.
Gruff has EU dates in November, including the Le Guess Who? Festival in the Netherlands, and more UK dates in December. All are listed, along with a stream of Pang!, below.
