The debut NYC edition of Cold Waves festival happened over the weekend and Meat Beat Manifesto headlined the Friday show at Irving Plaza (9/14). Led as ever by Jack Dangers, with projections screen in front of him and behind, MBM's set included classics like "Drop" and "God O.D." and songs from this year's Impossible Star. The night also featured Author & Punisher, aka Tristan Shone, who has scaled down his gear dramatically to make it more portable but still delivered a ferocious noise/industrial set. A lot of the crowd seemed to be there for C-Tec, who incorporated live instrumentation into their show, and pretty much stole the night.  The night also included sets from Hellbent, Continues, and Winkie (who we missed). Pictures of Meat Beat Manifesto, Author and Punisher and C-Tec are in the gallery above.
