Friday at Ridgewood, Queens venue Trans-Pecos featured two pretty cool shows. The early part of night featured a collaborative set between Yoshimio of Boredoms and Robert A.A. Lowe (aka Lichens). Their performance was totally improvised but went so well that Lowe said further collaborations will definitely happen.
Yoshimio plays again tonight at Baby’s All Right as part of her group Sea III that also includes Cibo Matto’s Yuka Honda and Susie Ibarra. Tickets are available. She also plays Tuesday (12/15) as part of Chuck Bettis‘ residency at The Stone.
The late set was the final night of the Other People residency and featured a rare set by Lydia Lunch‘s band Teenage Jesus & the Jerks. While she was the only original member of the group there, the lineup did include Weasel Walter (Flying Luttenbachers).
