Piroshka

Piroshka (Lush/Elastica/Modern English) announce debut LP, share "Everlastingly Yours"

Piroshka, the new band formed by Lush’s Miki Berenyi, Moose’s KJ McKillop, Elastica’s Justin Welch and Modern English’s Mick Conroy, have announced their debut album, which is titled Brickbat, and will be out February 15 via Bella Union. (Bella Union is the label started by Simon Raymonde of Lush’s former 4AD labelmates Cocteau Twins.) The first single is “Everlastingly Yours,” which sounds somewhere between the hazy shoegaze of Lush and the more playful sound Moose had on their last few albums. It’s pretty terrific and should make fans of all involved excited to hear more. Listen to that, and check out Brickbat’s artwork (by Chris Bigg of 23 Envelope/v23 who did most of Lush’s artwork) and tracklist below.

Piroshka will play their first live show at London’s The Lexington on November 23, and have also announced a 2019 European tour. Hopefully we’ll get them on this side of the pond, too.
