Pitchfork lists "The 200 Best Albums of the 1980s"

In their 2002 list, Sonic Youths 'Daydream Nation' was #1
In their 2002 list, Sonic Youths ‘Daydream Nation’ was Pitchfork’s #1 LP of the ’80s. Is it still?

Back in 2002, Pitchfork did a “Top 100 LPs of the ’80s” list, and 16 years later they’ve posted a new one, “The 200 Best Albums of the 1980s.” They didn’t just add a 100 more records, this is a very revamped list, and Pitchfork notes their original list “represented a limited editorial stance we have worked hard to move past; its lack of diversity, both in album selections and contributing critics, does not represent the voice Pitchfork has become.” Their original list has Sonic Youth’s Daydream Nation at #1, Talking Heads’ Remain in Light at #2, and Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique at #3. You can check out Pitchfork’s new list to see if they’re still there. Their list is below, and read their write-ups for all 200 at Pitchfork.
