PJ Harvey nominated for a Grammy, touring, playing Brooklyn & more
PJ Harvey just picked up a Grammy nominee for her great 2016 album The Hope Six Demolition Project (it’s up for Best Alternative Music Album against Bowie, Iggy Pop, Radiohead and Bon Iver), and she’s also expanded her tour. She’s got a January run that hits Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, and new US dates are popping up too.
PJ will play Kentucky’s Forecastle Festival in July (with LCD Soundsystem, Run the Jewels, Conor Oberst, and more), and she’ll be one of the first artists to headline Brooklyn’s new 1800 cap Brooklyn Steel. That’s a smaller room than Terminal 5, which she played twice earlier this year. She plays Brooklyn Steel on April 20. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, December 16 at noon.
