Earlier this week, Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison was reported missing. Though formal identification has not yet been made, BBC News reports that police searching for Scott discovered the body of a man and Scott's family have been informed.

UPDATE: BBC News is now reporting that the body was confirmed as Scott's. His family was quoted saying they are "utterly devastated with the tragic loss of our beloved Scott." Such, terribly sad news. Scott was 36. Rest in peace, Scott.

"The discovery was made at Port Edgar, a marina on the banks of the Firth of Forth between the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, at about 20:30 on Thursday," the BBC reports.

Before Scott was reported missing, he tweeted "Be so good to everyone you love. It’s not a given. I’m so annoyed that it’s not. I didn’t live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones" followed by "I'm away now. Thanks."

Frightened Rabbit tweeted from their account “We are worried about Scott, who has been missing for a little while now. He may be in a fragile state and may not be making the best decisions for himself right now. Please could Scott or anyone with any information on his whereabouts please contact Police Scotland (101).” Drummer (and Scott's brother) Grant Hutchison added on Instagram, "Has anyone seen my brother/bandmate/best friend? He’s in a very fragile state and has been missing since last night and we’re all incredibly worried."
