Pop Montreal have just announced the initial lineup for their 2017 edition which takes places September 13 - 17. Among the artists playing this year: Thee Oh Sees, Austra, Weyes Blood, Jay Som, The Besnard Lakes, Royal Trux, RZA, Swet Shop Boys, Hurray for the Riff Raff, The Dears (performing No Cities Left in full), Elza Soares, Jessy Lanza, Mount Eerie, Public Service Broadcasting, Lady Miss Kier, King Woman, Vagabon, serpentwithfeet, and more. Also we were happy to see Think About Life on the lineup, a Montreal band we haven't heard from in a long time.

Early Bird "Super Passes" are on sale now and at a discounted price till May 15, and you can check out the list of artists on the initial lineup below.

Pop Montreal are also presenting a European tour, called "POP Off," that features Mozart’s Sister and Montreal-via-Congo singer Pierre Kwenders. Those dates are below.

Speaking of Mozart's Sister -- aka Caila Thompson-Hannant of Think About Life (and Shapes and Sizes before that) -- she plays Brooklyn's Rough Trade on June 22 (tickets). The Besnard Lakes will play Brooklyn's The Bell House on Thursday, May 4 with The Life and Times (tickets)
