Pop Smoke honored with mural in Canarsie, Brooklyn

A Pop Smoke mural was finished this weekend at 8125 Flatlands Avenue in the late rapper’s neighborhood of Canarsie, Brooklyn. Complex points out that the project is being undertaken by Hattas Public Murals, who wrote, “We are honored to be painting this powerful memorial for the late Pop Smoke.” Check out some photos and videos of the process:

Pop Smoke was shot and killed at age 20 this past February. Last week, five were reportedly arrested in connection with his murder.

Earlier this month, his posthumous album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon was released. It features 50 Cent (who also executive produced), Future, Quavo, DaBaby, Lil Baby, Lil Tjay, Roddy Ricch, Swae Lee, Karol G, Tyga, DJ Mustard, and more.
