Porridge Radio have announced their anticipated new album which is titled Every Bad and will be out March 13 via Secretly Canadian. They've also released a new single, "Sweet," which sounds anything but, with singer/guitarist Dana Margolin intoning "My mum says that I look like a nervous wreck 'cause I bite my nails right down to the flesh" before the discordant guitars burst in on the last word. ‘Sweet’ is a song about holding grudges and learning how to have fun and letting go of an old version of yourself,” says Dana. “I was feeling light-hearted when I wrote it, but when we came together to play it as a band, it suddenly felt really dramatic and exciting. When we play it live, the energy in the room always feels really intense, and then suddenly we just explode altogether and it always feels really good.” The video, directed by Sam Hiscox, is intense too. Watch below.

The band will make their first visit to the US for SXSW, and will play Los Angeles before (3/16 at Moroccan Lounge with Sorry) and NYC after for a BrooklynVegan-presented show at Elsewhere Zone one on March 23 (tickets).
