There's something in the air this fall on TV, with two fairly high profile pot comedies debuting soon. The first is MTV's Mary + Jane which has Snoop Dogg as a producer (does he automatically get first rights/refusal on this sort of thing?) and was created by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont who brought us Can't Hardly Wait and the very underrated Josie & The Pussycats movie. Here's the official gist:

Jordan (Scout Durwood) and Paige (Jessica Rothe), two twenty-something best friends who run an all-female weed delivery service in Los Angeles. Filled with funny, raw and bizarre adventures, the show explores the uncharted territory as Los Angeles comes out of the Green Closet and gets into high and higher times.

There's more than a whiff of Broad City, LA-style, here. The series premieres September 5 but you can watch a clip via Vulture below, and the first episode online right now. Look out for an episode centered around Coachella that features Awkwafina (who is going to be in the upcoming all-female Oceans 8).

Meanwhile, very funny web series High Maintainence is being upgraded to HBO. The series was co-created by and stars Ben Sinclair as a nameless pot delivery guy in NYC whose clients have all manner of neuroses. It's been on the web since 2012 and its first season for HBO begins Friday, September 16, and you can watch the trailer below. You can also watch all the old web episodes on HBO Now and HBO Go right now.
