Power Trip playing festivals; Chris Ulsh lists his top 10 LPs of 2017
2017 has been a big year for Power Trip, who are getting more attention than ever thanks to the strength of the killer Nightmare Logic, which has popped on some year-end lists like Decibel‘s and Ben Koller’s. 2018 should be no different, as Power Trip will be making the rounds on the hard rock festival circuit. We already mentioned that they’re playing Rock on the Range and Welcome to Rockville, and they were recently announced for Fort Rock and Carolina Rebellion too.
At Fort Rock (4/28 – 4/29 in Sunrise, FL), they’ll be joined by Ozzy Osbourne, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, and more. At Carolina Rebellion (5/4 – 5/6 in Charlotte, NC), they’ll be joined by Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Andrew WK, Turnstile, Hatebreed, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Billy Idol, Clutch, Thrice, Baroness, Quicksand, The Sword, Red Fang, Code Orange, The Bronx, Mutoid Man, and more.
They also play the much cooler Home Sick fest in Petaluma, CA on January 18 with Ceremony, Touche Amore, Black Marble, King Woman, Culture Abuse, FURY, HIDE, Screature, ACRYLICS and Super Unison (tickets). Power Trip are also touring overseas in 2018. All dates are listed below.
Power Trip drummer Chris Ulsh was also busy in 2017 with the band he fronts, Impalers, who released their crushing new album Cellar Dweller. He also fronts Mammoth Grinder (which features two members of Iron Reagan), whose Relapse debut Cosmic Crypt will be out on January 26.
