Princess Nokia releasing two new albums on Wednesday, shares two new songs
Last fall, Princess Nokia promised a new album for 2020, and actually, she’ll be releasing two albums this year, and they’ll both be out this Wednesday (2/26)! One’s called Everything Is Beautiful and the other is called Everything Sucks. A press release calls the former “a representation of the sensitive, feminine side of the gender fluid artist” and notes that it was recorded mostly with live instrumentation, was influenced by A Tribe Called Quest, and features Kendrick Lamar collaborator and jazz musician Terrace Martin; while the latter is a “brash, ruthless and insistent” album. You can hear the difference, as Nokia has released one new song from each: the lively, jazzy, melodic “Green Eggs & Ham” from Everything Is Beautiful and the hard-hitting, bare-bones “Practice” from Everything Sucks.
