Coachella White Stripes

Watch Coachella documentary + bonus pro-shot videos of White Stripes, Arcade Fire & more

The Coachella documentary Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert is out now on YouTube, and if you haven’t seen it, it’s a pretty fascinating look at the festival and Goldenvoice, from the company’s roots booking bands like Circle Jerks in the ’80s to Coachella growing into an internationally recognized festival that Black Panther mentioned in the same breath as Disneyland. There’s interviews with tons of artists, including A-Trak, Moby, Perry Farrell, Steve Aoki, and more, and footage of lots of now-legendary performances, like the Bauhaus reunion (with Peter Murphy hanging upside down), Madonna in the dance tent, three Kanye West sets (including the Sunday Service, which there’s a lot of background info on), Beyonce, Daft Punk, Bjork, Rage Against the Machine, Tupac hologram, Pixies, Arcade Fire, The White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Amy Winehouse, Billie Eilish, the infamous Tyler, the Creator antics, and much more. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can stream the doc in this post. You can also watch some bonus content on YouTube Premium.

Though the documentary has clips of lots of cool performances, maybe you want to see pro-shot videos of the full songs used in the doc, and if so, you’re in luck. Coachella has been uploading more and more pro videos of performances featured in the film (and some that weren’t), including The White Stripes in 2003, Arcade Fire in 2011, Billie Eilish in 2019, Run the Jewels in 2016, and more. You can watch all of those below too, and stay tuned in case more come out.

And of course, you watch Beyonce’s full Coachella performance on Netflix.
