Prophets of Rage add dates, cancel others (including Jones Beach)

Prophets of Rage, the new supergroup with 3/4 of Rage Against the Machine (everyone except Zack de la Rocha), Chuck D of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill, have made some updates to their upcoming tour. Some previously-announced dates have been cancelled, a few new dates have been added, and AWOLNATION were added as openers.

Among the cancelled dates is the NYC-area show that would’ve happened on August 28 at Jones Beach. Their shows in NJ on August 26 at PNC Bank Arts Center and Brooklyn on August 27 at Barclays Center are still on though. Tickets are still available.

In related news, Public Enemy play a free NYC show TONIGHT (6/21) in Betsy Head Park. They’re also on Ice-T’s upcoming touring festival, which includes a Coney Island show in July.
