Prophets of Rage

Prophets of Rage touring, including The Apollo & Stone Pony

Prophets of Rage — aka the non-Zack de la Rocha members of Rage Against the Machine, DJ Lord and Chuck D of Public Enemy, and B-Real of Cypress Hill — are gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut album. They recently made a video for “Living on the 110” and released it along with a campaign for the WhyHunger organization. Watch below.

Prophets of Rage have also added some tour dates surrounding their appearances at Riot Fest, Voodoo, Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, and other upcoming festivals.

The tour includes shows in Asbury Park on September 9 at The Stone Pony and Harlem on September 12 at The Apollo. Those are both way smaller than the supergroup’s show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center last year. Tickets for both are on sale now.

Prophets of Rage — whose members were also in Audioslave — recently teamed with System of a Down’s Serj Tankian to play “Like A Stone” in memory of Audioslave (and Soundgarden) singer Chris Cornell. Chris’s birthday was yesterday.
