Purple Mountains (David Berman) expand tour, add 2nd NYC show
Purple Mountains, the new project from The Silver Jews’ David Berman, will be on tour starting in August to support their self-titled debut album which is out July 12 on Drag City. The band’s NYC show, 8/31 at Murmrr Theatre, sold out so they’ve added a second Murmrr show on September 1. Tickets for that go on sale Wednesday, June 26 at 10 AM.
David’s live band includes Jeremy Earl and Jarvis Taveniere of Woods (who also worked on the album) and the tour also includes a NJ show at White Eagle Hall on 8/12 (tickets), as well as dates in Philly, DC, Nashville, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, Portland and more. All dates are listed, along with videos for “All My Happiness is Gone” and “Darkness and Cold,” below.
