PWR BTTM played the first of two shows at Joe's Pub late Saturday (1/7) night, as part of the "Under the Radar" Festival. A seated audience may have made for a tamer crowd than most PWR BTTM shows, but that didn't stop one group near the front from getting rowdy. The queer punk duo's (they perform live as a three-piece) stage banter was typically hilarious, and they remarked that this show, as well as the second at Joe's Pub, on Thursday (1/13) night, are likely the last they'll play under the Obama administration. PWR BTTM recently finished their second LP (and first for Polyvinyl), and their tour continues through April. In addition to Thursday's show at Joe's Pub, they'll be back in Brooklyn to play a show at Shea Stadium with Naked Giants and Mal Blum & The Blums on February 18. Both shows are sold out.
