Quasi reissuing '90s LPs on UP on vinyl, announce East Coast tour dates

Now that Sleater-Kinney aren’t having quite as busy of a year, Janet Weiss has a little more time for Quasi, her band with Sam Coomes. The duo’s albums for UP, including 1997 R&B Transmogrification, 1998’s Featuring “Birds” and 1999’s Field Studies are to be reissued on vinyl via Sub Pop on May 27. Pre-orders are available now.

More concretely, Quasi have announced their first East Coast shows in three years, as part of a short tour in June. Those include two NYC-area shows: Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on 6/25 and Jersey City’s WFMU Monty Hall on 6/26. Tickets to Rough Trade and Monty Hall go on sale today at noon.

There are also shows in Philadelphia and Washington, DC, as well as a Portland, OR show in May. All dates are listed, along with a streams of all three, below.
