Raphael Saadiq announces first album in 8 years & tour, shares song

R&B/soul great Raphael Saadiq hasn’t released an album in eight years (but in the time since then he’s worked with Solange, Insecure, and more), but that will change with the self-produced Jimmy Lee, due August 23 via Columbia. The first single is the smooth-as-molasses “Something Keeps Calling” (featuring Rob Bacon), which you can hear below.

Raphael has also announced the ‘Jimmy Lee Tour,’ which hits LA, Austin, Atlanta, and more before wrapping up at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 10. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (6/14) at 10 AM with presales beforehand. All dates are listed below.
