Refused release new song under a fake name for a video game, tease real new Refused music
Post-hardcore greats Refused created music for CD PROJEKT RED’s upcoming video game Cyperpunk 2077 as the fake band Samurai, and one of the songs, “Chippin’ In,” is out now. It’s a slightly nu-metal-ish song and not exactly as exciting as a real new Refused song, BUT the band did say this along with the announcement: “As for new Refused… who knows, maybe that is coming sooner than you think!” Let’s hope!
Refused recently wrapped up a US tour with The Hives (pics), and they’re now gearing up for a Europe/UK tour with Thrice, including a UK run with additional support from Gouge Away (that’s a great triple bill).
