reminder: no cell phones at Misfits reunion shows

The Original Misfits — aka the reunion of Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle (with Dave Lombardo on drums) — are finally about to play their home state for the first time since 1983 this month. As you may know, the show happens May 19 at Prudential Center with support from fellow punk vets Suicidal Tendencies, Murphy’s Law and Harley Flanagan (ex-Cro Mags), and it’s sold out (but you can get resale tickets).

In case you forgot (like we did until we were just looking at the ticket page again), the Misfits are making you lock up your phones at their reunion shows (as evidenced at their LA and Vegas shows). From Prudential Center’s website:

No cellphones, smart watches, cameras or recording devices will be allowed at The Original Misfits’ upcoming shows.

Upon arrival, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby. All guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process. Anyone caught with a cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

Of course, you could always disOBEY and try to sneak your phone in and even attempt to get video. There were at least a few people who got away with it in LA and Vegas.

Speaking of Dave Lombardo, today his band Dead Cross surprise-released a new EP.
