Remo Drive returned earlier this year with their very good sophomore album Natural, Everyday Degradation, and they're now set to release a companion EP, Natural, Everyday Extended Play, which features an alternate version of "Separate Beds" from the full-length and two new songs, "Romeo" and "Nearly Perfect," that were originally intended for the album but, after recording the album, the band felt that they didn't fit. "These songs felt unfinished when we left the sessions so we decided to re-record them when we got home," says vocalist/guitarist Erik Paulson. "It was a blast to try our hands at self-producing after a couple of experiences in a studio setting!”"

They've now shared "Nearly Perfect," a lush, atmospheric song that's an even further departure from Remo Drive's emo/pop punk roots than the songs that did make it onto Natural, Everyday Degradation. I compared that album to Saves The Day's Stay What You Are, but this new song is In Reverie. Check it out below.

Remo Drive are also going on a fall tour, including East Coast dates with Samia and West Coast dates with Summer Cannibals. The run with Samia includes Long Island (10/15 at Amityville Music Hall) and Asbury Park (10/16 at House of Independents) shows. All dates are listed below.
