Two Florida post-hardcore bands, Rescuer and Direct Effect, will be heading out on a tour together this year. Direct Effect just put out their newest record, Sunburn (via Tiny Engines), an album of Fucked Up/Paint It Black-style rippers. Rescuer's newest, Anxiety Answering, comes out June 3 via No Sleep and is more in the Touche Amore/Pianos Become the Teeth vein (we recently heard its excellent single). These are two pretty exciting bands at the moment, so this tour should be one to look forward to.

The tour brings Rescuer and Direct Effect to NYC for a show on May 22 at Suburbia (330 Melrose) with likeminded band The Saddest Landscape and Capacities. Later in the year, both bands play The Fest, which just added more bands.
