Richard Thompson streaming 2 songs off new LP, announces tour
Folk legend Richard Thompson is releasing his new album 13 Rivers on September 14 via New West and Proper Records. It’s his first self-produced album, and it was engineered by Clay Blair. It also features Michael Jerome (drums, percussion), Taras Prodaniuk (bass), and Bobby Eichorn (guitar). Two songs from the album are out now, “The Storm Won’t Come” and “Bones of Gilead,” and you can hear both below.
Richard also has tons of tour dates coming up, both with his electric trio and solo acoustic (he’s doing the latter at Nashville’s Americanafest). He plays an electric trio show at NYC’s Town Hall on November 11. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/10) at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (8/8) at 10 AM.
