Ride releasing 'Tomorrow's Shore' EP (listen to "Catch You Dreaming")

Arguably no genre made better use of the EP than classic shoegaze. Bands like My Bloody Valentine, Moose, Slowdive, Lush, and Swervedriver all arguably made their definitive statements with the format that allowed for a punchy single, longer workouts, maybe a cover, and hopefully left you wanting more. Few did EPs as well as Ride, with RidePlay and Today Forever being three of the best records in their catalog. So it’s nice to see following 2017’s Weather Diaries that they’re returning to the EP, releasing Tomorrow’s Shore on Febraury 16 via Wichita Records. It’s got four songs, all which began during the Weather Diaries sessions which had them working with producer Erol Alkan and Alan Moulder (who worked on their classic ’90s LPs). It includes “Pulsar” and you can now check out Andy Bell’s “Catch You Dreaming,” a six-minute, synth-heavy “Catch You Dreaming.” You can stream that and “Pulsar” below.

Ride will be in Japan for a few shows in February, and their only other announced show is The Cure’s 40th anniversary show in London’s Hyde Park on July 7 which also features Interpol, Goldfrapp, Editors, Slowdive, The Twilight Sad and more to be announced. Dates are listed below.
